Regulation Agency for Medical and Pharmaceutical Activities published a Report 2020. According to the report, 40 pharmacies were abolished last year.
The document states that a total of 38 permits were issued for the authorized pharmacies and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies in 2020. Based on the notification, 414 pharmacies were allowed to sell medicines. However, 40 pharmacies were abolished. 216 pharmacies discontinued sales (upon notification). In addition, permissions were denied to 2 authorized pharmacies and 5 pharmaceutical companies.
