According to, Chair of the Agrarian Issues Committee, Nino Tsilosani, the majority of agricultural cooperatives, amid the COVID-19 pandemic and universal restrictions, were unable to comply with the law on cooperative activities and bylaws, and at the request of the cooperatives, the deadline for these actions will be extended to 2021.
Thus, the submitted document aims to set an additional deadline for cooperatives until January 1, 2022.
Pursuant to the member of the Committee, Khatia Tsilosani - "Those people who failed to register before the change officially takes effect will have the opportunity to take advantage of the registration permit in 2022."

The Committee, in line with the Article 38 of the Rules of Procedure, decided to set up an inquiry group to monitor the implementation of the Law on Agricultural Cooperatives.
According to the rapporteur Nino Tsilosani, due to the oversight function of the Parliament, within the framework of controlling the execution of normative acts, it was considered to set up an inquiry group to control the implementation of the Law on Agricultural Cooperatives.
The group will be headed by Committee member Shalva Kereselidze, while the members will be Nino Tsilosani and Zaal Dugladze.
