One of the clear examples of seizing state institutions in Georgia and receiving benefits as a result of this process is Otar Partskhaladze's activities, enrichment and ignoring the requirements of the law, reads the document prepared by Transparency International - Georgia.

According to the organization's assessment, the impunity of Otar Partskhaladze and the creation of favorable conditions for him underlines how important role he has in Bidzina Ivanishvili's entourage.

According to Transparency International - Georgia, Otar Partskhaladze received the passport of a Russian citizen on February 24, 2021. After leaving the position of the Prosecutor General, the property of Partskhaladze increased significantly from 2 units of real estate to 24 within 5 years.

“Otar Partskhaladze has close ties with both the government and the founder of the ruling party, Bidzina Ivanishvili. According to Ivanishvili, Otar Partskhaladze is a close friend of his son Bera Ivanishvili - Bera Ivanishvili is the godfather of Partskhaladze's grandson”, reads the document.

The US Department of State designated former chief prosecutor of Georgia Otar Partskhaladze. According to the Department of State, Partskhaladze was designated pursuant to section 1(a)(i) for operating or having operated in the management consulting sector of the Russian Federation economy. Partskhaladze is a Georgian-Russian oligarch.

“FSB Aleksandr Officer Onishchenko likely assisted his associate Partskhaladze in obtaining a Russian passport and possibly Russian citizenship. Partskhaladze has fully taken on Russian identity and routinely travels to Russia. Onishchenko and the FSB have leveraged Partskhaladze to influence Georgian society and politics for the benefit of Russia. Partskhaladze has reportedly personally profited from his FSB connection”, US Department of State said.
