External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 4 783.8 million in January-March 2023, 22.1% higher year-on-year, - according to the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
As of the document, the value of export increased by 24.7% reaching USD 1 461.5 million, while the import increased by 21% and amounted to USD 3 322.3 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 1 860.8 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 38.9%.
