Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia met with Rachel Thompson, Executive Director (ED) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), who is visiting the country on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia.
Dignitaries reviewed the current cooperation of Georgia and ADB, along with topics of future partnership. Once again, the role of the ADB, being one of the largest development partners, was highlighted in the progress of Georgia, covering both public and private sector financing.
Discussion also touched upon the organizational issues related to the Annual Meeting of the ADB to be held in Tbilisi in May 2024, along with the significance of this wide-scale event for the country and region. It is worth noting that the Minister of Finance of Georgia is elected as a Co-Chairman of the ADB Board of Governors for a tenure of one year.
By the close of the meeting, dignitaries agreed on intensifying the current cooperation.
