A free trade space (Duty free) with a completely different concept for Georgia was opened at Kutaisi Davit Agmashenebeli International Airport.
The first so-called Walk-through concept Duty-free was organized in the departure hall of Davit Agmashenebeli airport and passengers can buy products of various international and Georgian brands.
The free trade space at the Kutaisi International Airport was organized by ATU Duty-Free, which won a very competitive auction.
Tamar Archuadze, the General Director of the United Airports of Georgia and the company's management took part in the official opening ceremony of DUTY-FREE.
Archuadze said she was delighted to establish cooperation with the ATU Duty-Free company and open the “unique and modern” duty-free space at Kutaisi airport, which would be significant not only for the airport but for western Georgia’s Imereti region.
ATU DUTY-FREE employees 30 people in the free trade space of Kutaisi Airport, whose number will increase to 50 by the summer.
The amount of investment made by the company is EUR 1 million.
