Flu vaccine is free for any citizen of Georgia until December 1. The information is disseminated by the National Center for Disease Control.

According to the agency, from November 22 to December 1, all citizens of Georgia from 6 months of age can get the flu vaccine. Those interested can apply to the local polyclinics for a four-component SANOFI PASTEUR flu vaccine. Vaccination is free for Georgian citizens.

"People have been able to manage seasonal flu thanks to the vaccine since the 1940s. Because of this, we may not see the flu virus as a serious threat, but protecting ourselves from it this winter is important.

"The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that co-administration of the COVID-19 vaccine and influenza vaccine be completely safe," the NCDC said in a statement.

It is noteworthy that the flu vaccine has been expensive so far. Risk groups were identified for whom vaccination was to be free, although it was later decided that vaccination should be free for all.
