Georgia Takes over Presidency of Committee of Ministers of Council of Europe Today

Georgia will take over the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe from France at a meeting of the Committee of Deputy Ministers of the Council of Europe to be held on 27 November 2019 in Strasbourg.

Addressing the Committee of Deputy Ministers of the Council of Europe, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Georgia will introduce the priorities of Georgian Presidency, the Foreign Ministry reports.

Within the framework of his visit to Strasbourg, Davit Zalkaliani will hold meetings with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and, in his capacity as the Chair of the Council of Europe, will speak before the Standing Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

To celebrate the Presidency of Georgia, the Georgian National Ballet – Sukhishvili will conduct a concert on 3 December 2019, in Strasbourg.

Georgia will organize up to 20 events during the six months of its Presidency of the Council of Europe.
