"In order to improve the fight against coronavirus, it is necessary to tighten regulations, but not ‘lockdown.’ Georgia's economy and social sector will not be able to withstand the full restrictions. Maintaining jobs is vital,” - reads the special statement of Clinics Association addressed towards the government of Georgia.
The Association urges the government to open 100 to 500-bed field hospitals near big clinics. These hospitals need to be equipped with essential medical equipment and heating and air conditioning systems, to fight the coronavirus.
The statement also says that together with local and international experts military doctors, military nurses, and paramedics must be involved in fighting COVID-19.
