Georgian Economy Grew By 7.5% In April - Geostat

The estimated real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate amounted to 7.5% for April, 2023 compared to the previous year and the average real GDP growth for January-April 2023 equaled 7.3%, - according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In April, the turnover of the private sector, or VAT-paying companies, amounted to GEL 10.4 billion, which was 6.1% more than the previous year.

As of Geostat, In April 2023 the estimated real growth compared to the same period of the previous year was observed in the following activities: Construction, Financial and insurance activities, Transportation and storage, Information and communication, and Trade.

Declines were registered in Manufacturing and Real estate activities.
