The Committee heard the 6-month State Budget implementation report for 2022 and discussed the Draft State Budget 2022, introduced by the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze along with the economic tendencies, allowing the Government to increase the budget and revise the economic parameters.
The annual forecasts have been changed and the economic growth index exceeds the planned parameter – 8,5%. The extra income has been introduced to the Budget to be consumed in two main directions – first and foremost is to cover the budget deficit and the debt – the credit to be received will be less with GEL 700 million; and the coverage of the necessary costs assumed as the commitments – social protection of children, employment of the socially vulnerable citizens, agricultural development, infrastructure, social guarantees for the policemen and soldiers etc.
According to Kakauridze, the assignments for the Ministry of IDPs are increased with GEL 210 million, of which GEL 86 million will be directed for the social protection of children, GEL 40 million for the employment program, GEL 80 million for the healthcare programs, including GEL 15 million will be allocated for uninterrupted emergency aid. The Committee approved the documents.
