7425 permissions granted were issued in January-September, 2021 (6,5% more compared to the same months of previous year) for construction of buildings of 5371,9 thousand square meters (36,9% more compared to the same months of previous year), - show the preliminary data from the Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
According to Geostat, 73,7 percent of the total permits have been issued in 4 regions of the country, namely: 47% of the construction works located in Tbilisi, 9,3% -in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, 8,9 % - in Kvemo Kartli region, 8,5 % - in Imereti region.
It should be noted that in January-September, 2021, permissions were issued for the construction of multifunctional residential complexes, hotels, trade facilities, industrial enterprises, agricultural objects and other buildings. The relatively large share of the permissions granted hold the multifunctional residential complexes. More than half of the total completed construction are distributed in 4 regions of the country, namely: 27,8% is located in Tbilisi, 12,7% - in Kakheti region, 11,1% – in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region and 11,0% - in Kvemo Kartli region.
1708 objects (18,1% more compared to the same months of previous year) of 1155,4 thousand square meters (3,4% less compared to the same months of previous year) were completed in January - September, 2021.
