“Israeli airlines have suspended flights to Georgia,” – Avianews Agency reports, citing TAV Georgia.

As TAV Georgia, the operator company of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, explains, most of the flights scheduled by Israeli airlines in August have already been canceled.

The reason for the cancellation of flights is the regulations imposed by the Israeli government, according to which Georgia is included in the “red” list countries due to the aggravation of the epidemiological situation, and Israeli citizens are advised to refrain from traveling to Georgia.

According to TAV Georgia, the airlines Isr Air and Arkia canceled 21 of the 27 scheduled flights from Tel Aviv to Tbilisi International Airport in August.

It is unknown at this time what decision will be made by EL Al, which scheduled 17 flights in August.

Moreover, flights to Tel Aviv are operated by the airlines based at Tbilisi International Airport: Georgian Airways and Myway Airlines (a total of 16 frequencies per week). “At this stage, both airlines have not made a decision to cancel flights,” – TAV Georgia explained.

As for the Tel Aviv-Batumi route, Arkia Airlines generally canceled flights in August. Flight frequencies were reduced by airlines – El Al and Isr Air; It should be noted that out of 66 regular flights scheduled for August, 49 flights have already been canceled.

As a result of canceled flights, the number of flights from Batumi International Airport will be reduced by 74% in August.
