Shamugia thanked the Prime Minister for the declared trust.

The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili presented Otar Shamugia as the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture yesterday. Shamugia replaced Levan Davitashvili, who became the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
Until now, Shamugia held the post of Levan Davitashvili's deputy. Shamugia graduated from Sokhumi branch of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgia. He is an economist with a degree equivalent to a postgraduate qualification.
