Basisbank, as one of the largest supporters of business, continues partnership with agribusiness entrepreneurs. Entrepreneur Spartak Lomaia, who runs a laurel processing plant in the village of Pirveli Maisi, Khobi, Samegrelo, used the subsidized agricredit project to add buildings and upgrade machinery at the enterprise.
The financial support provided by Basisbank exceeds GEL 170,000, and the total investment provided by the bank to the entrepreneur is GEL 250,000.
The enterprise collects laurel leaves from the surrounding villages of Khobi, 1,000 tons a season. The enterprise is capable of receiving and processing 3-4 tons of laurel per day, making up a complete cycle of laurel processing. The leaves are subsequently sent for export. The entrepreneur employs 20 local employees.
"We have a long and successful partnership with Basisbank: we expanded and equipped the enterprise with the latest machinery. We plan to expand further in the future and keep producing quality products," noted entrepreneur Spartak Lomaia.
