September 15 is the date when the mandatory testing for Covid-19 will not be free of charge for unvaccinated Georgian citizens. The subsequent statement comes from the Head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze.
These are the people that work in the field of service, education, and law enforcement. They are obliged to test regularly for coronavirus. According to NCDC, about 38,000 tests are conducted on a daily basis.
From September 15, the state budget will stop funding these people and unvaccinated citizens or their employers will be obliged to pay for testing.
