According to the president of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili Natia Turnava, acting director of the National Bank, should resign.
The President announced this at the briefing and added that she regrets the decision made regarding the appointment of Turnava.
"I must say that I deeply regret my decision and apologize for it. If he had not postponed our meeting today, which was supposed to take place, I would have personally informed her of my thoughts on what the next steps should be. First of all, the acting president, who failed to protect the independence of the National Bank and on the contrary, harmed this principle, should resign," Zourabichvili said.
