The number of beneficiaries receiving subsistence allowance increased by 3,215 within two months and hit a record high for the first time in July. As of July 2022, 664 278 citizens were registered in the list of beneficiaries receiving subsistence allowance, which is 17.8% of the Georgian population.
In January of this year, the number of beneficiaries receiving subsistence allowance was 648,176. Accordingly, their number is increased by 16,102 [2.4%] compared to January.
As for the funds spent on subsistence allowance, GEL 56,710,462 was spent from the budget in July, which was about 222 thousand more than in June.
