The Governmental StratCom released a statement regarding Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili's visit to the USA.
As stated in the statement, false information was purposely spread that Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili allegedly took a charter flight to travel to the USA together with his son.
“There have been false claims about Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili’s travel to the USA, suggesting that he and his son used a charter flight. To clarify, the Prime Minister travels to the USA on regular commercial flights, whether for official, business, or private purposes. We explain once again that there was a charter flight, which was carried out from Tbilisi in the direction of one of the European cities, while the Prime Minister left for the US on a regular commercial flight. Furthermore, during his private visit, neither the PM’s flight nor any related expenses were covered by the state budget,” the statement reads.
