According to the Deputy Minister of Health, the opening of the 2021-2022 winter tourist season has not been discussed by the Interagency Coordination Council today.

Tamar Gabunia said this in response to a question asked by journalists after the end of the council.

It has been snowing for a few days at winter resorts, though the government has not yet made the decision to open the winter tourist season.

Representatives of the tourism sector are waiting for the opening of the season.

The Mountain Resorts Development Company announced earlier this week that the opening date of the season will be known in two days.

At the same time, after the end of the Coordination Council today, the Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia said: “There was no discussion about the current council about the winter resorts. I think we will discuss it next week."

It should be noted that regulations for winter resorts for 2021-2022 were developed by the Mountain Resorts Development Company as early as October.
