Trading in the ruble on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) increased by 2.6 times in September compared to August 2022, reports the National Bank.
“The volume of trades in the Russian ruble on KASE increased by 2.6 times, to 48 billion euros in Kazakhstan, in September,” indicates the report.
According to the document, the trading volumes of the main currencies used in settlements decreased.
The volume of trading in the US dollar in September 2022, compared to August, decreased by 7%, to $2 billion, in the Chinese yuan - by 1.9 times, to 450 million yuan, in euro - by 3.6 times, to 42 million euros.
The stock exchange's weighted average exchange rate strengthened by the end of September in trading against the euro - up to T458.97, against the yuan - up to T67.15 and weakened against the ruble, up to T8.3 and against the US dollar - up to T476.69, KazTag reports.
