The review of Ucha Mamatsashvili's claim was resumed in the Court of Appeal. The fact is that the first instance fully satisfied Ucha Mamatsashvili's request. Ucha Mamatsashvili sued the anti-corruption movement for defamation, and the city court charged the Anti-Corruption Movement to pay GEL 15,000 for moral and psychological damage to businessman Ucha Mamatsashvili.

"Anti-Corruption Movement" appeals the court's decision. As Lasha Parulava, a member of the "Anti-Corruption Movement", says, the businessman is on the list of sanctioned persons by Ukraine.

"Today, consideration of the lawsuit of Ucha Mamatsashvili as a person sanctioned in Ukraine has resumed. The first instance estimated the psychological and moral damage of the businessman at GEL 15,000. We consider this decision of the court to be absurd and today we file a new suit regarding the fact that Ucha Mamatsashvili is sanctioned by Ukraine.

We expect that Mike McFall's sanction group will share the initiative regarding the sanctioning of Ucha Mamatsashvili, and after that the USA, Great Britain and the European Union will sanction Ucha Mamatsashvili, because he is on the side of Russia in this war", Lasha Parulava explains.

The businessman's lawyer also responds to the information related to the sanctioning of Ucha Mamatsashvili. According to Amiran Giguashvili, the said accusation is not related to the court dispute between the Anti-Corruption Movement and Ucha Mamatsashvili.

"This dispute does not concern Ucha Mamatsashvili's connection with any country. Especially with Russia. Ucha Mamatsashvili has no relations with any business and political circles in Russia.

Today we are at a court session related to the slanders spread by the Anti-Corruption Movement, we will not discuss any other dispute," the lawyer of the businessman said.

Ucha Mamatsashvili filed a lawsuit against the Anti-Corruption Movement. Mamatsashvili sued the movement for defamation, the lawsuit was related to seven different statements made by the anti-corruption center, in which they accused Mamatsashvili of patronizing fraudulent call-centers, as well as being connected to the overpriced electricity tariff.

A few months ago, the Tbilisi City Court ordered the "anti-corruption movement" to pay moral damages to Ucha Mamatsashvili in the amount of GEL 15,000.
