The Georgian lari has strengthened against the USD today in the Bloomberg Trading System.
February 7 trading opened the day with the GEL/USD rate at 2.9750 and strengthened by 4 tetri in a few hours. As a result, 1USD was traded at 2.350 GEL (12:40 pm).
This is not an official exchange rate yet, and the National Bank of Georgia will update the rate at 17:00. However, if the official exchange rate of GEL is observed within the same trajectory, then this exchange rate will be the strongest the lari has seen after 2020.
As of the official exchange rate, today 1 USD costs 2.9867 GEL.
