Children's clothes and accessories brand "Rko" is expanding its exporting area. Georgian-made clothes have entered the US market at this time, - Tamar Mesarkishvili, the founder of the brand, told Bm.ge.
According to her, 80% of the children's clothes produced by them are exported to France, Great Britain, China, America, Germany, Japan and now to the USA.
"We placed the first order for the USA and we are glad that the demand for our products is growing. In addition, we would like to be more active in the direction of China, because it is a very interesting market and a big change took place during the COVID period, which was reflected in the volume of orders," she says.
The founder also noted that compared to the previous year, the production of the brand increased by 10-15%.
Tamar Mesarkishvili also spoke about the challenges and noted that the company had to increase prices due to the expensive raw materials. In addition, she notes that the lack of a workforce is still a challenge.
Children's clothing brand "Rko" was founded in 2016, the brand sews all kinds of children's clothes and accessories - hats, gloves, bags and embroidered collars. The number of employees depends on the number of orders, sometimes this number reaches 80.
