Georgian Parliament will elect a vice-speaker from the opposition.
Since Levan Ioseliani was elected as the Public Defender, the opposition-mandated position has been vacant.
Under the regulations, one vice-speaker is elected by the nomination of the two factions in the parliamentary opposition, which has the most members united. If the faction/factions do not nominate a candidate, this right will be given to the next opposition factions having the most members.
The National Movement currently comprises the majority of oppositionists.
